Physical Description
Physical DescriptionMauve fit-and-flare knee-length shimmery satin dress with a pleated skirt and beaded embellishments. Fabric has a gray floral pattern, and areas between flowers are embellished with plastic white and gray pearl beads, light pink and gray glass beads, and small square gray metal beads. Zips up the back with a gold zipper outlined by cream-colored ribbon that extends to the bottom of the skirt. Skirt fabric is lined with thin plastic crinoline that gives it structure.

It was received through the Office of the First Lady and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
