The artifact collections at the Barack Obama Presidential Library contains artifacts that tell the story of the life and career of Barack Obama. This material includes items associated with Barack Obama, the Obama family, and the initiatives and accomplishments of the Obama Administration. Other artifacts in the collection relate to the pre- and post -presidential life of Barack Obama. The collections include works of fine art, cultural artifacts, books, clothing, domestic furnishings, sporting equipment, and other materials that represent the era and accomplishments of the Obama Administration. These materials are predominantly gifts to President and First Lady Obama, and other artifact materials generated during the 44th Presidential Administration between January 2009 and January 2017.
