Physical DescriptionA large white quilt with yellow and blue striped pattern on edges and an outline of Africa in blue in the center. Within the Africa outline is a painted image of the U.S. and Liberian flags crossing adjacent to white text.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of First Lady Michelle Obama's trip to Liberia as part of a three nation tour for the Let Girls Learn initiative.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
