Historical NoteFirst Lady Michelle Obama wore this dress for the Fashion Education Workshop at the White House on October 8, 2014. As part of the First Lady’s Reach Higher initiative, several students at the Fashion Institute of Technology participated in a design competition to create the dress she ultimately wore during the workshop. Natalya Koval created this dress, the winning design.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration.
