Physical DescriptionHonorary Doctor of Laws degree from Howard University Law School in a blue leather portfolio.The diploma is written in black Latin calligraphy with two signatures written in blue ink, including the President of Howard, H. Patrick Swygert.
Historical NotePresented to then-Senator Barack Obama on September 28, 2007 at the 140th Academic Opening Convocation at Howard University where Senator Obama was the invited speaker. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
