The reverse bears an engraved description of the event for which it was given.Historical NotePresented to then-Senator Barack Obama on September 28, 2007 at the 140th Academic Opening Convocation at Howard University where Senator Obama was the invited speaker. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
