Physical DescriptionA silver commemorative coin. On one side of the coin is a picture of a river with palm trees and a boat with a large building with the words "Independence Movement." On the other side of the coin is an image of sunset with a beach and a palm tree and a sailboat in the background, above the image is a banner that reads "The love of liberty brought us here" and the banner below reads "Republic of Liberia" while the border of the coin says "Ellen Johnson Sirleaf President of the Republic of Liberia."

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration.
