Physical DescriptionLong sleeve tan tunic with a thick weave. Down the center of the tunic there is white and cream geometric embroidery. At the wrists and up the lower part of the sleeves there is matching embroidery. The tunic has a scoop neck and two pockets on either side.Historical NoteReceived in March 2013 on the occasion of a meeting between President Barack Obama and leaders of Sierra Leone, Senegal, Malawi, and Cabo Verde.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
