Physical DescriptionBrown tunic with snaps at the collar and embroidered details. The embroidery is a geometric repeating pattern of triangles and circles alternating direction in a brown thread with additional cream detailing. The embroidery is at both wrists, below the collar, and across the proper left breast pocket.
Historical NoteReceived in March 2013 on the occasion of a meeting between President Barack Obama and leaders of Sierra Leone, Senegal, Malawi, and Cabo Verde.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
