Physical DescriptionNavy blue tracksuit with zippered jacket (.a) and matching pants (.b). Both pieces have white stripes up the sides embellished with red, white, and blue rhinestones. The reverse of the jacket has a large vinyl sticker of the Presidential Seal with the face of television personality Ellen DeGeneres in the center. The reverse of the pants has the word "POTUS" in red, white, and blue with rhinestone embellishments.
Historical NoteEllen Degeneres gave the President and First Lady a set of custom Ellen Degeneres track suits after First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on her talk show on February 2, 2012. In the episode, Ellen challenged Mrs. Obama to a push-up competition.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
