Physical DescriptionOval-shaped gold-colored lapel pin with raised shiny depiction of two hands grasping at the index fingers and thumbs in the "Liberian snap handshake" against a matte textured background. The outer edge is shiny with etched edges. Pin back.Historical NoteReceived in May 2010 from Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf during a working visit to the White House.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
