Secretary Christiana Figueres

Christiana Figueres is a Costa Rican diplomat who served as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from July 1, 2010 to July 18, 2016. In this role, she led the historic 2015 Paris Agreement. She represented the government of Costa Rica at the United Nations Convention on Climate Change from 1985 to 2010.

Christiana Figueres is the daughter of former President of Costa Rica José Figueres Ferrer and former First Lady Karen Olsen Figueres Beck.
