President Herman Van Rompuy

Herman Van Rompuy is a Belgian politician and diplomat who served as the President of the European Council, the decision making body of the European Union, from November 2009 until November 2014. Prior to his election to the European Council, Van Rompuy served as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium from December 2008 until November 2009.
