Dr. Dino Patti Djalal is an Indonesian career diplomant and author who served as the Ambassador to the United States from 2010 until 2013. In 2014 he was appointed Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, a position he held for the second half of the year before retiring from the government in 2015. Prior to serving as Ambassador, Dr. Djalal served as a Special Staff for International Affairs to then-President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, working as a spokesperson, speechwriter, and advisor.
