The Detroit Shock were an American professional basketball team that played in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 1998 as the sister team to the Detroit Pistons, the Shock won championships in 2003, 2006, and 2008. In 2009, it was announced that the team would move to Tulsa, Oklahoma and become the Tulsa Shock; in 2015 the team moved to Dallas, Texas and became the Dallas Wings.
