Mara Carfagna

Mara Carfagna is an Italian politician who served as the Minister for Equal Opportunities from May 2008 until November 2011. During her time as Minister she organized the first international conference on violence against women at the 2009 G8 in L'Aquila. Since 2006, Carfagna has served as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies representing the Campania 2 constituency.
