Ehud Olmert

Ehud Olmert is a former Israeli politician who served as the 12th Prime Minister of Israel from January 2006 until March 2009. Olmert formally announced his resignation from the position of Prime Minister in July 2008 but remained in office until the new Prime Minister was sworn in, per Israeli law. Prior to becoming Prime Minister, Olmert had served as a member of the Knesset and as Mayor of Jerusalem.
