Kairat Umarov is a Kazakh diplomat who served as the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2009 until 2013 when he became the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United States of America. Umarov served as Ambassador from 2013 until 2017. From 2017 until 2020 he served as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations.
