Christiana Figueres

Christiana Figueres is a Costa Rican diplomat who served as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from July 2010 - July 2016. In this role, she led the historic 2015 Paris Agreement. She represented the government of Costa Rica at the United Nations Convention on Climate Change from 1985 - 2010.

Christiana Figueres is the daughter of former President of Costa Rica José Figueres Ferrer and former First Lady Karen Olsen Figueres Beck.
