Robert D. Kaplan is an American author who has written over twenty books on foreign affairs, politics, and travel. Kaplan is the Robert Strausz-Hupé Chair in Geopolitics at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security.
