Benazir Bhutto was a Pakistani politician who served two nonconsecutive terms as Prime Minister, first from 1988 until 1990 and a second time from 1993 until 1996. From 1982 until her death in 207, Bhutto served as the Chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party. Bhutto was the first woman to serve as head of state of a Muslim country.
