Kim Scott is an Australian author known for novels, poetry, and short stories that connect to his aboriginal identity as part of the Noongar community and Australian culture as a whole. Scott was awarded the Miles Franklin Award, the first indigenous writer to receive the honor. He is involved with the Wirlomin Noongar Language and Story Project and holds a PhD in Creative Writing.
