Gérald Alexis is a prominent specialist in Caribbean art. He has a focus on Haitian art and has taught at the Ecole Nationale des Arts. He was editor-in-chief of the art and culture section of the haïtien Le Nouvelliste and is the former director of the Musée d’Art Haïtien and Musée National d’Haït.
