Founded by Royal Charter in 1670, the Hudson's Bay Company, which began as a fur trading enterprise, is the longest continually operating company in North America. HBC is a retail, investment, and real estate company. In 2005 HBC was chosen as a National Partner for Canada's Olympic and Paralympic games.
