Jamie Marie Lazzara

Jamie Marie Lazzara is an American luthier. She born in Urbana, Illinois and moved to Italy to attend the Florence Academy of Fine Arts where she received a diploma in restoration in 1981. Lazzara then studied violin making under Giorgio Scolari at the Scuola di Liuteria di Cremona, where she received her degree in 1985. Lazzara is mainly inspired by classical Cremonese models and techniques she learned studying in Cremona. She currently lives in Florence, Italy, where she makes guitars and violas in addition to violins.
