Marvel Comics

Marvel Comics is an American comic book publisher founded in 1939 by Martin Goodman as Timely Comics. In 2009, The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Comics. Marvel has created comics starring the characters Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, among many others. The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, S.H.I.E.L.D., the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men are some of the superhero teams whose stories appear in Marvel comics.
