The crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-135) carried out the 135th and final mission of the American Space Shuttle program. The crew consisted of Douglas Hurley (Pilot), Sandy Magnus (Mission Specialist), Christopher Ferguson (Commander), Rex Walheim (Mission Specialist), and Janet Kavandi (Director of Flight Crew Operations). The mission lasted from July 8, 2011 - July 21, 2011 and successfully delivered cargo to the International Space Station. President Barack Obama called the crew aboard the ISS and welcomed them to the Oval Office on November 1, 2011.
