Eleni Banou

Eleni Banou is a Greek archaeologist who served as the Director of Ephorate the current Ministry of Culture Director, Ephorate (an archaeological unit) of Antiquitiesof Athens, a position she held from 2010 until 2022 when she took over Marine Antiquities. Due to her position, Banou led President Barack Obama on his tour of the Acropolis during the President's 2016 visit to Athens.
