Thongloun Sisoulith was the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Lao People's Democratic Republic from June 2006 until April 2016 when he became the 17th Prime Minister of Laos. Sisoulith was active in improving Laos-United States Relations and welcomed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Laos in 2010.
