Tadashi Shoji is a Japanese-born American fashion designer and the founder and chief designer of the Tadashi Shoji collection. Trained as an artist in Japan, he moved to the United States, where he worked for costume designer Bill Whitten, followed by Richard Blackwell. In 1982, he launched his own collection, now known for red carpet gowns and evening wear.
