Duro Olowu is a Nigerian-born British fashion designer. In 2004, Olowu launched his eponymous women's wear label. First Lady Michelle Obama frequently wore his designs, which are known for their signature use of luxurious textiles and original prints inspired by his international background. In 2015, Mrs. Obama commissioned Olowu to decorate the Vermeil Room in the White House for Christmas.
