David Archambault II

David Archambault II is the former Chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. During his term as Chairman from 2013 to 2017, he advocated for indigenous peoples' rights and led opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline project. Archambault met President Barack Obama in 2014, when Obama attended a pow-wow on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.
