Azzedine AlaïaTunisian, 1935 - 2017

Azzedine Alaïa was a Tunisian couturier and shoe designer who moved to Paris in 1956 and established his fashion house in 1981. First Lady Michelle Obama was a regular Alaïa client. She wore his designs to events including the Nobel Banquet in Oslo, Norway on December 10, 2009 and to the State of the Union Address in 2014.
