Bamir Topi is an Albanian professor, veterinary doctor, politician, and diplomat who served as the President of the Republic of Albania from July 2007 until July 2012. Topi first entered politics in 1990 and was first elected into office as a parliamentarian of the Assembly of Albania in 1996.
