John Levi is an American lawyer who is senior counsel at the Chicago office of the law firm Sidley Austin, where he has worked for more than 50 years. In the summer of 1989, Barack Obama worked as a summer associate at Sidley Austin, where associate Michelle Robinson became his advisor. President Obama appointed Levi to Board of Directors of the National Legal Services Corporation, and he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 19, 2010.
