First Lady Ingrid Bouterse-Waldring

Ingrid Bouterse-Waldring is the former First Lady of Suriname having served from August 2010 until July 2020 while her husband, Dési Bouterse, served as President of Suriname. While serving, Bouterse-Waldring initiated and supported programs designed to foster economic development and to improve the quality of life for all Surinamese people, with a special focus on children and elderly.
