Charles, Prince of Wales, was the heir apparent to the British throne during the Obama Administration, as he is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II. He had been heir apparent as well as Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952. On September 8, 2022, with the passing of his mother, he became King of England.
