Eamon Gilmore is an Irish politician who served as the Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade from 2011 until July 2014. He was a member of the Irish Parliament (Dáil Éireann) from 1989 until 2016, spending the years 2007 until 2014 as the Leader of the Irish Labour Party. After resigning as Deputy Prime Minister he served served as European Union Special Envoy for the Colombian Peace Process from October 1, 2015 to February 19, 2019. In 2015 Gilmore served as the Chairperson-in-Office for he Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
