José Ramos-Horta

José Ramos-Horta is an East Timorese politician, diplomat, humanitarian, and Nobel Peace Prize awardee. During his career in politics, Ramos-Horta served as the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste from 2006 until 2007 and as the President of Timor-Leste from 2007 until 2008. In 2022, Ramos-Horta was reelected President and is the incumbent. Ramos-Horta was heavily involved in the liberation movement for Timor-Leste.
