Physical Description
Physical DescriptionTwo needlepoint decorative pillows with obverse depicting an eagle with wings outstretched and feet resting on a "USA" seal. There are stitched American flags on either side of the seal, with flagpoles crossed front of the seal. Below the seal is a depiction of a bell. There is a border of red and blue lines around the central design and yellow stars at each corner. The fabric on the back of the pillows is a patchwork print of red, white, and blue, and a gold-colored rope is sewn around the edges of the pillows.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThese items were gifts from a member of the general public to the First Family during the Obama Administration. They were received through the Office of the President and maintained there until their transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
