Physical Description
Physical DescriptionLarge framed collage of the outline of President Abraham Lincoln's portrait made from black paper with silver and gray printed words "If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong." Below Lincoln's neck are curved lines of colorful sequins and glitter. The background and Lincoln's upper body are composed of collaged textile fragments of red and white stripes and white stars on blue, possibly cut from an American flag. Along the bottom edge are gold glitter letters on a silver mirrored background: ABRAHAM LINCOLN. The work is set within a white mat with a black frame and gold inner border.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
