Physical DescriptionHand knit hat (.a) and scarf (.b). The hat has purple, orange, yellow, and pink stripes. On top are tassels that are primarily purple with pink and orange highlights. The scarf is yellow along the long edges with purple down the center. There are red, yellow, orange, and pink decorative knots throughout. At the short ends is purple, yellow, and pink fringe.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to Malia and Sasha Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
