Physical DescriptionFigurine of the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. She stands on a rectangular base painted with a landscape of a castle with flying creatures in the sky. Crouching beside her is a monkey with wings. The witch wears a pointed hat, long black robes, and a patterned skirt that depicts Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Lion, the Scarecrow, and Toto on the Yellow Brick Road. The witch holds a whistle on a chain in her left hand.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
