Physical DescriptionChristmas ornament in the shape of the hat Aretha Franklin wore to the 2009 inauguration with bow to the side. Ornament is painted silver with silver glitter adhered to the surface and plastic silver rhinestones outlining the shape of the bow. A metal hook tops the ornament for hanging.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
