Physical DescriptionTwo triangular pennant flags for the 2008 WNBA Championship team the Detroit Shock, signed in silver by members of the team. The flags have the Detroit Shock logo to the left, a depiction of the WNBA trophy in the center, and championship information on the right. Flag colors are navy blue, light blue, red, silver, and white.
Historical NoteReceived during the Detroit Shock visit to the White House on July 27, 2009, to celebrate their championship.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThese items were gifts from a member of the general public to Malia and Sasha Obama during the Obama Administration. They were received through the Office of the President and maintained there until their transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
