Physical DescriptionTwo pairs of Nike 'Airforce' Indonesian Batik special edition tennis shoes. The body of the shoes is composed of a black and gold batik-patterned textile with a gold Nike swoosh logo on either side and black leather patches at the toes. The bottoms are gold-colored rubber and the tops are lined with gold-colored fabric. The laces are black satin ribbon and the pair came with an extra set of gold ribbon laces.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThese items were gifts from a foreign official to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. They were received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until their transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
