Physical Description
Physical DescriptionTwo aprons made from towels and decorative cloth. The bottom of the garments are a blue towel that has the end folded up and sewn to create pockets. The side of the top that faces outward is white with "Democrat" in blue and red throughout and the Democratic donkey symbol also throughout. The other side is white with "Republican" in blue and red throughout and the Republican elephant symbol also throughout.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThese items were gifts from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama administration. They were received through the Office of the President and maintained there until their transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
