Physical DescriptionTwo Jelly Belly-brand jelly bean dispensing machines decorated with red, white, and blue rhinestones. The gold-toned metal base is decorated with red and white rhinestone stripes and the blue rhinestone top is decorated with clear white rhinestone stars. A clear glass bowl etched with the Jelly Belly logo is attached to the gold metal base with a crank designed to accept a quarter. The machines dispense Jelly Belly beans with or without coins and hold approximately 1.5 lbs of beans.Historical NoteReceived by First Lady Michelle Obama in June 2009 from First Lady Nancy Reagan during a visit to the White House.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThese items were gifts from a member of the general public to Malia and Sasha Obama during the Obama Administration. They were received through the Office of the President and maintained there until their transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
