Physical DescriptionFour handheld fans memorializing the tragedy on June 17, 2015 at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina. The fans are made from laminated paper in the shape of an octagon with text enclosed in red and blue borders. Text on the front and back commemorates the tragedy with images of the victims and images from the memorial service. Created for US Congress people.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThese items were gifts from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration.
