Historical NoteThese frames were intended to be gifts for attendees of the Inaugural Luncheon on January 21, 2013.
A card that accompanied these frames states: "The frame pattern incorporates motifs found around Statuary Hall and the U.S. Capitol. Inside the frame is a view of the Capitol from the East Front, from a hand colored wood engraving from the Illustrated London News, May 25, 1861. This is to be replaced by a photo of the President taking the oath of office. Attendees of the Luncheon will be mailed the photo of today's ceremony shortly."
